Code Yellow Thursday morning

Neilson Grove did issue a Code Yellow this morning just before the start of the school day today. A report was made to Delta Police and the code yellow was initiated by our School Liaison officer as a precautionary measure. It lasted for around 15 minutes and the all clear notice was given by Delta Police. Although we do not have details, Delta Police advised us that it turned out to be a hunter in the area and there was no threat to students.

Code yellow is a procedure, which allows the school to continue with the normal school day, but forbids outside activity and unnecessary room to room transit. No unauthorized personnel are to enter the building. A code yellow is most commonly used when an incident is occurring outside a school building, on or off school property, and there is no immediate or active threat.
